Step 1
Assume a ready positin by crouching (bend the knees) and resting your elbows a little above the knees.
Step 2
Place your left hand down onto the mat, a foot in front of your left foot.
Step 3
Place your right arm down behind your left hand and point it to the left. Turn your head and look to the left.
Step 4
Push off with your legs, rolling over your right shoulder.
Step 5
Prepare to land in the side fall position, slapping the mat with your left arm and plam before your left side hits the mat.
Step 6
Land in the side fall position:
right shoulder up
head up, chin tucked
legs and feet parallel, shoulder width position
left leg on it's side, right knee up, creating a space between your knees
