Jim Browne Athletic Director and Physical Education Chair, received his Associate of Science Degree at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College in the field of Graphic Arts. At Trade-Tech Jim was introduced to Track Coach Chip Armstrong who encouraged and counseled him to pursue a degree in Physical Education. Taking Coach ArmstrongUs advise Jim completed his Bachelors and Masters degree at California State University, Long Beach.

After completing his formal education, Jim was a student-teacher at Cerritos High School, he continued to Coach and teach hourly for Trade-Tech and El Camino Community Colleges. Jim also taught Health, P.E. and World Geography one semester at Brendo Jr. High School.

Jim Coached the sports of Track and Field and Cross Country at El Camino College and Trade-Tech College for seventeen years. In that time he was fortunate to work with outstanding coaches and helped to produced many Conference, Southern Cal. and State Champions. !

Jim is very happy to be working with the teams at Trade-Tech and believes the future is very positive for athletics at the college. Jim is married to Diane DeFranco Browne the Director of Dance at Trade-Tech. They have two daughters Ashley Shannon and Whitney Anne. The Browne family is currently living in the City of Pasadena.
