Current Events and News:
Check the Schedule of Classes under Physical Education Activity and Physical Education (non activity) classes for enrollment availability or contact the instructor. All classes meet first day at the pool. Students provide their own swimsuit, towel, cap, and goggles. A certified lifeguard is on duty during all classes. All students are expected to obey the pool rules. |

AquaticsCertificate
- 17 Units - This certificate prepares thestudent to enter the aquatics
profession prepared to teach a variety of classes. Certifications
are primarily through the American Red Cross but materials come from other
organizations such as Aquatic Exercise Association, Unites States Swimming,
United States Water Polo Assocation, YMCA, ISSA,and Aquatic Therapy and
Rehab Institute.

All-Water Triathlon - A fun activity that builds cardiovascular fitness for our classes.
Resources for Aquatics Classes (extra resources available with class syllabus)
Students who can not swim as well will be accepted in this summer class
because 101 is not being offered. These non-swimmers will be taught
the front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, treading water, survival
floating, diving from the edge of the pool, and safety skills as time allows.
